Hi PannenkoekenNL, I'm TyA and I'm the Wiki Manager for the Crayon Shin-chan Wiki. My job is to help you make your community the best it could be. If you ever need any help with anything, please feel free to leave me a message and I'll do whatever I can. :)
I would like to enable Special:Community on this wiki, as it serves as a good way to get newer editors started, as it gives them suggestions on what to edit. If you would rather it not be enabled, please let me know within the next few days.
Sorry to barge in here, but I wanted to consult a few things.
Most importantly about Kazama's name. Since it is writtenトオル, in three independent syllabes, the correct romanization (wāpuro) becomes "Tooru". If it had beenトール, any romanization would be correct depending on the system (Toru, Tohru, Tōru, Tooru), but this is not the case. Yet in the wiki it's romanized as "Toru" and I get edited when I correct it. My inquiry is, could we please agree to modify his page title into using the correct romanization? (I know that modified Hepburn treats both onbiki and double vowels with macrons, but the wiki is not even using it)
I also wanted to ask if there were any guidelines for the character's names, for consistency's sake. Shouldn't we leave out the honorifics? All of the children get called with honorifics in-series, and it looks out of place to be switching back and forth between adding the honorific and leaving it out when mentioning the characters in the paragraphs. I mean, the way a character is called can be perfectly be mentioned as info.
And again, the romanization system. Taking Tokurou Gyouda's page as an example: the title has his name romanized in short vowels (just 'o' for the 'ou') yet in the rest of the page it's romanized in several different ways, which is awfully messy.
Can we please do the following: stick to only one romanization system for both titles and mentions, and wāpuro for the japanese letter pronunciation (the one that is in parentheses)? I suggest short vowels for onbiki (the ー letter), this way we can just type Mari/Bo/etc instead of using macrons or doubling.
Please tell me if you'd rather stick with either o, oh, or ou when romanizing an 'ou' (like in Tokurou Gyouda's name).
And um, lastly. There is no Portable Infobox styled here, only a non-portable one (which wikia doesn't use anymore). The current portable Infobox template (character info) has the default generated style which is, to be frank, unpractical. I would like to ask for an administrator to modify the px margin for tabs, rows (especially rows) and titles, and the title font size, because the current template takes up way too much unnecessary space. If they could also give it soberer colors for better presentation and easier reading (even just muting down the current colors a bit would work), it'd be perfect.
The whole wiki itself could also use some CSS modifying (the current one looks bulky and saturated), but that's a different matter.
Hey, by the way, if you want to get high quality images from the manga and/or anime episodes, you can download all the 50 volumes of the manga I uploaded to nyaa here. I normally get the episodes from the spanish dub, in shinchaneros.net forum they have every episode they have dubbed (over 800), for the list of episodes I use this.
I had already found out that myself, and downloaded the manga (the old 50 volumes + the new 6 volumes) some time ago in high quality from a Japanese site. ;) I also downloaded every Spanish episode + special (160GB) from that forum. But thanks anyway. :) The reason some of the images I add aren't of high quality is because I got these images from the Spanish wiki and I don't know which episode or chapter it is.
I have been editing the wiki's main page to make it less old and ugly looking and more appealing for new users, and I was wondering if I could change the background and logo, in fact, I already made two logo images in case, one based in the manga and the other in the anime , I'm still thinking about what image I could do for the background.
